1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Chess Next Move Calculator AI (the “App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”). These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Mahajan Works (“we,” “our,” or “us”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Chess Next Move Calculator AI provides chess analysis powered by the Stockfish NNUE engine, AI-driven next-move calculations, chessboard detection from camera images (FEN string generation), and the ability to play games against the Stockfish AI. The App is available in two tiers: a free tier that uses Daily Coins and rewarded video advertisements, and a Premium subscription tier that unlocks additional features as described within the App.

3. In-App Virtual Currency (Daily Coins)

• Grant of Licence: We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable licence to use “Daily Coins” within the App for their intended purpose.
• No Monetary Value: Daily Coins are virtual items with no real-world monetary value. They cannot be redeemed for cash, transferred to another user, or exchanged outside the App.
• Expiration & Regulation: Daily Coins are granted on a daily basis and may expire if not used within the designated period. We reserve the right to manage, regulate, modify, or discontinue Daily Coins at our sole discretion, at any time, without notice.

4. Premium Subscriptions

• Billing: Premium features are available via auto-renewing subscriptions managed entirely through the Google Play Store. By subscribing, you authorise Google Play to charge your payment method on a recurring basis at the applicable subscription price.
• Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access to Premium features until that date.
• Refunds: Refunds are governed by Google Play’s refund policy. We do not provide refunds for partial subscription periods.
• Features: Premium features may include unlimited move calculations, an ad-free experience, and other enhancements as described within the App. Features may change over time.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or extract the source code of the App or its underlying AI engines
• Use the App to gain an unfair advantage in competitive chess matches, tournaments, or events where the use of external AI assistance is prohibited by the applicable rules or organisers
• Interfere with or disrupt the App’s infrastructure, servers, or third-party services

6. Intellectual Property

All content, features, branding, and functionality of the App — including but not limited to the UI design, graphics, and proprietary code — are the exclusive property of Mahajan Works and its licensors. No rights are granted to you beyond the limited licence to use the App under these Terms.

The App incorporates the Stockfish chess engine, which is open-source software released under the GNU Lesser General Public Licence (LGPL v3). Stockfish is not owned by or affiliated with Mahajan Works.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT MOVE SUGGESTIONS OR BOARD DETECTION WILL BE 100% ACCURATE. YOUR USE OF THE APP IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, MAHAJAN WORKS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at our sole discretion, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. Upon termination, all licences granted under these Terms will immediately cease.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the country in which Mahajan Works operates, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of that jurisdiction.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. When we do, we will revise the Effective Date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated within the App where reasonably practicable. Your continued use of the App following the posting of changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
